New government job openings in Islamabad Police

Candidates with Bachelor's degrees (BA/BSc) are eligible to apply for the following open positions:


Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASI) - 116 Positions

Eligibility Requirements: Pakistani or AJK nationality

Whether male or female

A BA/BSc or its equivalent from an authorised university is required.

Male and female applicants must be at least 5 feet 7 inches tall and between the ages of 18 and 25.

Chest measurements range from 33 to 34.5 inches (Men Only)

Candidates who satisfy the requirements must also pass a physical exam (running: 1.5 miles in 10.5 minutes for Males and 1.5 miles in 15 minutes for females).


Applying Process & Terms

The enrollment procedure for receiving job applications in "Islamabad Police" will be extended until November 22, 2022. Applicants/Employment Seekers must take the following procedures to apply for any unfilled job positions

  1. Pakistani nationals who wish to apply for any of the aforementioned job vacancies* must do so using Islamabad Police's officially stated online platform/portal, which may be accessed by clicking here (FOR APPLYING ONLINE) OR by searching/browsing www.islamabadpolice.gov.pk.
  2. Incomplete applications or those submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
  3. There will be no consideration of age, height, or chest relaxation for any candidate.
  4. Candidates must provide correct information. False information disclosure might result in legal action under PPC sections 420/468/471, which has a maximum penalty of seven years if convicted.
  5. An affidavit confirming the applicant's absence from any criminal case or action is necessary. If the affidavit is untrue, the candidate will be barred from applying for police employment in the future, and legal action will be initiated.
  6. A transgender person may apply depending on how they feel about their gender identity in compliance with the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act of 2018 and the gender listed in CNIC.
  7. Government employees who satisfy the qualifications may apply through the appropriate channel at the time of application.
  8. Candidates who are active or former police officers and are applying based on a family claim must show all needed proof during the interview.
  9. The chosen individuals' character and academic qualifications will be checked. In the event of any phoney fraudulent information or criminal past, the candidate will be terminated or expelled from service (if discovered after employment), and legal action would be taken against him or her.
  10. The ICT Police website has information about the testing sites. However, only ICT Police can select the applicant's centre.
  11. Candidates should bring their own bottle of water and wear joggers or other acceptable footwear for the endurance test.
  12. Only those who pass both the written and physical endurance tests will be approached for an interview.
  13. After passing a test I stage, candidates will be qualified to take the succeeding stage I test. If a candidate fails any of the exams or stages, they will not be qualified for the next step/stage.
  14. The Departmental Recruitment Board (DRB) and its employees will examine the candidates' physical condition during the interview. If any inadequacies are identified, the candidates will be denied employment with the ICT Police and necessary legal action will be taken. The DRB's decision is final.
  15. Candidates will be subjected to a comprehensive medical examination by the Federal Government's medical board/civil surgeon before final selection. Candidates with vision less than 6/6 shall be rejected for service during the medical tests. Furthermore, individuals with Hepatitis B and C, as well as any other chronic illnesses or impairments, will be excluded.
  16. Selected applicants must accept the government's rules and regulations controlling behaviour, discipline, promotion, retirement, and other ancillary topics.
  17. There will be no TA/DA for the written, physical/endurance exam, or interview.
  18. Updates will be provided to candidates via the Islamabad Police website.
  19. Islamabad Capital Police maintains the right, at any time, to change or cancel the advertisement/recruitment.
